Along with a load of other great smartphones, Nokia added a svelte new handset to the Nokia C6 line at Nokia World last month. With an 8-Megapixel camera, stainless steel casing and a brand new OS, it’s easy to imagine the Nokia C6-01 being one of Nokia’s most popular smartphones ever. Join us after the break for all the latest news on the Nokia C6…
The original Nokia C6 is a mid-range touchscreen handset with a sliding QWERTY keypad. Although it shares a similar model name, the Nokia C6-01 is a completely new smartphone, and a great raft of features promise to set it apart from rivals.
We particularly like the stainless steel casing, providing a tactile and tough feel that puts high-end smartphones to shame. The 3.2-inch screen on the Nokia C6-01 also goes one better than the original Nokia C6, now providing AMOLED technology for better colours, and a capacitive panel that should be more responsive.
Connectivity on the Nokia C6-01 is top-notch, with 3G and 802.11n Wi-Fi both in place. The C6-01 is also the first Nokia to get Bluetooth 3.0, letting you swap files with your mates at speed, without the need to use wires.
The Nokia C6-01 has already cropped up on Nokia’s own website – usually a sign that we won’t have long to wait, so it’s well worth adding the C6-01 to your shopping list.

Nokia C6 on it’s way?
Following details of the Nokia C5, rumours are circulating that Nokia is set to add to the Nokia Cseries range in the form of the Nokia C6. The new handset could be released as soon as Mobile World Congress this month, with features including a touchscreen display. To find out more about the Nokia C6, read on after the jump…
Rumours of a new Nokia have been circulating the internet for a little while now – with the Nokia Mystic leading the charge. We brought you photos of the Nokia Mystic a little while ago, and with similar design cues to the recently detailed Nokia C5, it looked like a reasonable bet that the Mystic could be named as the Nokia C6.
We thought that the Nokia Cseries may be a re-invention of the Classic branding, with similar design touches as older handsets, but using cheaper materials to keep the pricing down. From the photographs, it looks like the Nokia Mystic could fit in with this ethos.
Tech website All About Phones also thought that the Nokia Mystic would be renamed as the Nokia C6, but has recently changed its mind, pointing out that the Nokia C6 may have a different form factor and feature a touchscreen display, leaving the Mystic dead in the water.
