With so many great games available for modern smartphones, there are plenty of classics, such as Plants vs. Zombies on Windows Phone, that we’d love to play on our Nokia Symbian^3 and Symbian Anna smartphones, but what about you? Have you got any favourites of your own that you’d like to see ported across?
Some of our favourite games have come from American developer PopCap Games and a recent post on the PopCap global forum got us thinking about how many PopCap classics would be perfect for playing on a Nokia Symbian phone. With that in mind, here’s our top five PopCap games that we’d like to see ported across to our Nokia phones as soon as possible.
Plants vs. Zombies
What could be better than repelling an attacking army of zombies using nothing more than the greenery in your back garden? With a range of plants at your disposal, it’s up to you to protect your house from the un-dead intent on having your brains for their dinner. Easy to pick up, tough to master and impossible to put down, this bonafied classic is the first PopCap game we want to see on our Nokia Symbian smartphones.
If you thought Tetris was addictive, just wait until you play Bejewelled. The premise is similar and has you swapping brightly coloured gemstones around to complete lines of three or more. Once you complete enough lines, you finish the level and move onto the next, increasingly difficult challenge. As soon as you start, you’ll be instantly hooked, making this the second classic we want to play on our Nokia Symbian phone.
While shooting a ball at a bunch of colourful pegs may not seem like the most fun you can have with your smartphone, once you pick up Peggle you won’t want to put it down. With a limited number of balls in your arsenal and an increasing amount of pegs to take down you’ll be cheering and screaming in equal measure, which is why Peggle hits our list as the next top game we want to see next on our Nokia Symbian smartphones.
You’ll need nerves of steel and the reflexes of a cat to survive Zuma and this could be the most nerve-wracking game you’ll ever play. All you have to do is shoot coloured balls at a line of other coloured balls that are rapidly making their way towards you, but the challenge lies in how quickly you can spot where the balls need to be fired and how fast the line keeps charging at you. Who needs caffeine when games like this could be played on our Nokia Symbian phone?
Similar to Bejeweled, Chuzzle puts you in charge of a board full of colourful fluffy creatures, with the aim of moving them around to match colours and win points. This is one of the easiest games to pick up and play on a smartphone, but as with all PopCap’s creations, it quickly gets fiendishly difficult, putting your mind and your nerves to the test. That’s why we’ve picked it as our fifth PopCap classic that we want to see on our Nokia Symbian phones.
So how about you? Are you just as keen as we are to enjoy these classic games on your Nokia phone, or have you got any favourites of your own that didn’t make our list? Tell us your thoughts in the Comments section below.
