We recently asked you “What is the best smartphone screen size?” and got an overwhelming response that bigger is better, which reflects the market trend for larger smartphones around the world. Read on to find out which sizes you like the best.
It’s something of a cliché that size matters but thanks to the phenomenal response we had for our recent, ‘What is the best smartphone screen size?’ poll we can tell it’s something close to everyones heart.
It seems that the 4.5-inch display that is sported by the Nokia Lumia 920 is indeed your favourite screen size right now. It took some 32 per cent of the vote, making it a clear winner.
We were actually surprised and interested to see that with 24 per cent of the vote, the 4-inch display as sported by the likes of the Nokia 808 PureView and Nokia Lumia 510 came in second place. Clearly, the size of display is one that offers great real estate value for those who are also looking for something compact and pocketable.
The 4.3-inch screen size was pushed into third place with 20 per cent of the vote.
Delivering 10 per cent of the vote was an array of ‘other sizes’, which as you can see by the image below mainly consisted of variations on ‘larger’ – the one anomaly being the 3.5-inch which still has its fans.
With larger displays dominating the proceedings the show, the likes of the 3.7-inch of the Nokia Lumia 800 seem to have fallen out of favour with those who voted. Oddly, the 3.8-inch screen size came last with a mere 6 per cent but this is in fact the screen size of the Nokia Lumia 620, which is everyones favourite entry-level smartphone.
It will be interesting to see if perceptions on size change once the Nokia Lumia 620 its the streets and people get to see and feel it in action!
