It’s a bit wide world out there, so why not capture it with your Nokia Lumia 620, Nokia Lumia 820 or Nokia Lumia 920? All have excellent cameras, and just as importantly all have the Panorama function. Here’s how to use it.
Whether you’re using the 5-megapixel camera found in the new entry-level Nokia Lumia 520, the amazing 6.7-megapixel of the new mid-range Nokia Lumia 720, or the class-leading PureView snapper in the Nokia Lumia 920, Panorama is available to you.
It works by expertly stitching together five shots to form a single widescreen picture, or a panoramic view to give it a more appropriate name. All you need to do is point and gradually pan from left to right.
Nokia’s implementation of this technology is the best around, as you’d expect, but some of you may still need a helping hand to get snapping in full widescreen.
Follow these steps and you’ll be capturing those stunning vistas in no time.
Select Panorama and hold your phone up to the far left of the subject and press the shutter button as if you were taking an ordinary photo.
Slowly pan your Nokia Lumia handset to the right to align the two circles – Panorama will automatically take the remaining four shots, so don’t worry about pressing the shutter key again.
Repeat up to three more times, trying to keep the camera moving in as straight a line as possible.
You don’t have to use all five frames – press the tick at any point to finish the process. There you have it! Your very own panoramic picture with Panorama.
