The Nokia Lumia 625 is a big-screen Windows Phone 8 smartphone, which means it is ideally placed for being a great games machine. Discover the top 10 Xbox games for Nokia Lumia 625 running Windows Phone 8.
The Nokia Lumia 625 is built around a 4.7-inch IPS LCD display with a standard 800 x 480-pixel resolution. It comes with a curved glass screen, Gorilla Glass 2 and super-sensitive touch technology for use with nail and gloved hands.
We think this makes it ideal for playing the latest Xbox and other Windows Phone 8 games for big screen fun. You won’t even find it a burden, as the Nokia Lumia 625 may be the largest Lumia yet but it comes with a sprightly weight of 159g, and measures in at an overall size of 133.25 x 72.25 x 9.15mm, making it a slim and super-compact smartphone that feels great in the hand.
To put it to the test we’ve downloaded some of our favourite Xbox games for Windows Phone 8 onto it. Check out how well it handles with our hands-on video:
Want a rundown of the games we’ve been testing out on our Nokia Lumia 625:
Angry Birds Star Wars
There is a genuine feeling from the get-go that the developers have worked to create a satisfying whole to Angry Birds Star Wars. So, rather than pulling together a bunch of Star Wars inspired levels, what we get is a pretty decent run through of the original Star Wars: A New Hope, starting out on Tattoine before blasting off into space and the final encounter with the Death Star.

Asphalt 7: Heat
Asphalt 7 Heat offers up 15 different tracks, which are claimed to be set in real cities around the world. Cities include such new tracks as Hawaii, Paris, London, Miami and Rio. Asphalt 7 Heat is a lot like its main rival, Need For Speed, in that you get to chose from a host of dream cars to drive and race against. This time around we get the likes Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin, including the legendary DeLorean.

Cut The Rope
The description from the game tells you everything you need to know about Cut the Rope: Experiments: “The little green monster Om Nom is back and hungrier than ever! Team up with the Professor, a mad (but not bad!) scientist determined to study Om Nom’s candy-loving behaviour through a series of experiments. Use suction cups and other funny devices to collect shiny gold stars, uncover hidden prizes and unlock new levels!”

The object of the game couldn’t be easier (or more ridiculous). You’re a master ninja and for some unknown reason someone is throwing fruit at you which you have to slice in half to win the game. This may be one of the daftest game set ups in history and yet Fruit Ninja still manages to be loads of fun.

Real Football 2013
Real Football is the latest Gamesloft game to come rushing out of the tunnel and onto the pitch. Outside of Europe you’ll find the game is called Real Soccer and the Windows Phone version is a port of Real Soccer 2010 for iOS. Getting to grips with game play is something of a steep curve, there is no tutorial and the game sort of relies on you knowing what you’re doing, almost assuming you’re a keen console gamer.
